Akshdeep Breaks World Record  for Hardest Slap Shot! By Joe Fluch

This record was set on July 16th, 2004 at the Saddle Dome Arena in Calgary. Over 20,000 people came together to watch this memorial day for Akshdeep Bhatia. He was given 3 chances to score a goal and make the hardest shot. His first 2 shots were complete failures; no where near the net, but his third was Beyond amazing. It went over 200 kph the goalie was sweating bullets, his jersey was drenched, in each pad there was over a litre of water! Visit the Guinness World Record website for more amazing .

When we interviewed him he gave some advice to all the young hockey players: "Always start on a flat surface and take shots on a empty net then try shooting with a goalie and aim for the corners. When you do slap shots you don't have to raise your stick to high just force it to go hard, and I just have one peice of advice for goalies: Always keep your eye on the puck."
